Josh is a Licensed Professional Counselor with well over a decade of counseling experience in community mental health working with a wide range of problems and struggles with individuals, couples, and families. Josh has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University. These diverse experiences include working with people who are having personal struggles that are common in life’s journey: addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, anger management problems, parenting issues, and with kids, adults and families involved with the Child protective services.
Josh is a native of the Peoria area. He brings the rich background and working knowledge of how trauma profoundly affects people and deeply impacts various aspects of our lives. He has diversified experience working with clients from diverse socio-economic groups, different cultures, neurodiverse population, and various ages groups. His personal experience as a ___ and clinical background in adoption, trauma, and social services give him a unique perspective with the many challenges that people may face. Josh is committed to continue to learn and grow and looking forward to the opportunities to do so at Life Balance Counseling Peoria. He is currently learning more about how trauma and addictive behaviors are interrelated.
